Pamela Jo Balliett

Pamela Jo (Ritchey) Balliett, 45 of Fairview, died at her home as a result of Leukemia on Wednesday October 7, 2009.
 She was born May 21, 1964 in Roaring Springs, Pa., a daughter of Norman D. and Louise A. (Wagner) Ritchey of Lake City.
  Following her graduation from Girard High School in 1982, she attended Bradford Business School for two years, studying Business Management. She went to work for Elby's Family Restaurant as a hostess and food preparation department. She was employed at Hampshire Mills clothing store for seven years as a floor manager and left there to raise her family. In 2002 she worked as a Opthamologist technician for eye surgeon Dr. Brent E. Walker and later was a van driver for special needs children for her parent's business while she attended Tri-State Business Institute, earning a national certificate for billing and coding. She then attended and graduated from HVA (Healthcare Ventures Alliance) receiving her Nurse's Aid state license and worked at Manchester Presbyterian Lodge and at Pediatric Opthamology of Erie. Most recently she was employed at Walgreen's as a pharmacy technician and was in training to become a manager.
  Pamela attended the Federated Church in East Springfield and also attended St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Girard.
 Pam assisted at Bible School at St. John's Church and was a member of the ladies auxiliary of the Siebenbuerger club in Erie. She enjoyed cooking, flower and vegetable gardening, bicycling and trail riding, especially the Sandy Creek Trail. She was active in Jazzercise as well.
 In addition to her parents she is survived by her two children, Jessica Nicole Balliett and Joshua Michael Balliett; her Fiance' Jeffery Reinhardt of Fairview; a brother Norman "Dale" Ritchey and his wife Yvonne of Bell Haven, NC; niece Dessie Mae and nephews Hank, Waylon and Bud; also several aunts, uncles and cousins.
  Friends may call on Saturday from 7-9PM and again on Sunday from 2-4PM and 7-9PM at Daniel R. Edder Funeral Home, 309 Main St. East, Girard. Services will be held Monday at 11AM at the Federated Church of East Springfield, Pastor Ed Huntley officiating.
 Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery.

I worked at walgreens with her. No matter what mood you were in you would always leave with a smile when you talked with her. She always had a smile and was always a fun person to be around. Gone too soon. My thoughts and prayers are with her fiancee and her family.
