Martha Bucho Farmer 89, of Girard died at St. Vincent Health Center on Sunday November 29, 2009. She was born September 11, 1920 in Girard, PA, a daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Havier Bucho. She was raised in Girard and was married to the late Ronald R. Farmer. She and her husband owned and operated the Farmer's Tavern in Franklin Center for many years.
She enjoyed reading, puzzles and yard work.
In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Robert Farmer, who died on July 30, 1992 and whom she married in 1940 in Cattisburg, KY; a daughter, Patty Lou Horn in 2004; a son, Ronald J. Farmer in 2001; three brothers, John, Andrew, and George Bucho; and four sisters, Ann Matlak, Marie Afton, Susan Bandura and Helen Stuck Fox.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Cindy Farmer of Franklin Center and a son-in-law Dorian Horn of Youngsville; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 2-4PM and 7-9PM at Daniel R. Edder Funeral Home, 309 Main St. East, Girard. Services will be held there on Thursday at 11:00AM.
Burial will be in Francis Cemetery.
