ELK VALLEY SCHOOL CROSSING GUARD



Jean O. Malutich Simkovitch, 84 formerly of Lake City, died Sunday December 6, 2009 at Pleasant Ridge Manor.
 Jean was born April 24, 1925 in Pageville, Erie Co. a daughter of the late Michael and Antoinette Drexler Malutich.
 She worked at Louis Marx Co. in Girard and for the Girard School District as a crossing guard, retiring in 2000.
She was a member of  SS Cyril & Methodius Byzantine Catholic Church in Girard also a member of the altar rosary Societies in Girard.
 She enjoyed reading.
 In addition to her parents her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Julia Malutich and two brothers, Walter and John Malutich.
 She is survived by her husband Andy Simkovitch whom she married November 25, 1948 in Erie ; four sons, Richard M. Simkovitch and his wife Dannetta of Lake City, Andrew C. Simkovitch of Girard, Glenn A Simkovitch, and John D. Simkovitch and his wife Mary Ellen both of Lake City. One sister Mildred Fischer of Fombell, Pa. Nine Grand Children; four great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
 Friends may call on Tuesday from 2-4PM and 7-9PM at Daniel R. Edder Funeral Home, 309 Main St. East, Girard. The Panachida Service will be held Tuesday evening at 8:45PM at the funeral home. A Parastas Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday at 10:30AM followed by the Divine Liturgy at SS Cyril and Methodius Byzantine Catholic Church, 1022 Tilden Ave., Girard PA, 16417 at 11AM, Father Andrew Deskevich Presiding.
 Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
 Memorials may be made to SS Cyril and Methodius Byzantine Catholic Church or to the West County Paramedics Assoc., 6852 Meadville Rd., Girard, PA 16417.
