Jayne Riblet Bick

Jayne Marie Riblet Bick, 55 of Girard, PA, passed away at home Monday January 11, 2010 surrounded by her family after a 20 year battle with Breast Cancer.
 She was born September 23, 1954 in Erie, a daughter of Janet Raun Riblet of Erie and Gerald Riblet also of Erie.
 Jayne graduated from McDowell High School in 1973. Following high school she began raising her children in the Erie area and worked as an office manager, most recently employed by Dennis Smith Logging.
 She enjoyed the outdoors and all activities associated with it; Long walks, Hiking, Playing Golf and just being an active person who LOVED LIFE.
 She was preceded in death by an infant brother, John Riblet.
 In addition to her mother and father she is survived by her husband, James R. Bick, whom she married in 1999 in New Orleans; also by a daughter, Tina M. Samluk and her husband Bill of Erie; a son, Michael J. Reitz and his wife Elisha of Erie; two sisters, Cathy Betts and her husband Steve of Orange County, VA.; Carol Stork and her husband Matt of Tampa,FL.; a brother Gerald Riblet of Erie; five grandchildren, Nathan, Aaron and Emily Samluk, Michael J. Reitz Jr., and Jessica Reitz; also several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
 Relatives and friends may call on Thursday from 2-4PM and 7-9PM at Daniel R. Edder Funeral Home, 309 Main St. East, Girard. Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday at 10:00AM.
 Memorials may be made to the John Kanzius Foundation, 915 State St., Erie, PA. 16501.

Jim, I am so sorry for your loss. Jayne was a wonderful person whom I had the pleasure of working with over the last several years through the Association. She was always upbeat, had a smile on her face and was willing to help in any way she could. She put up a valiant battle but this awful disease took another beautiful life. Please know we are all here for you. My heartfelt sympathy to you and your family during this time.
