Helen Vargo:

Helen Orlecky Vargo, 93 of Fairview, died Monday July 12, 2010 at St. Vincent Health Center.
 She was born October 19, 1916 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Tony and Nellie Fedorchak Orlecky.
 During the years of America's great depression, her family moved from Pittsburgh to the Edinboro area and worked a small farm. She later worked for Corrugated Box Company in Erie and had been a homemaker for many years.
 She was a member of the Fairview Fire Department Auxiliary, and enjoyed taking care of her home and family.
 She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. Vargo in 2004, whom she married on August 1, 1942; also by two sisters, Mary Vargo and Mildred Meerhoff.
 She is survived by her son, Joseph A. Vargo of Fairview; two sisters, Alice Rutkowski of Erie and Dorothy Parker and her husband Milton of Wattsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
 Friends may call on Wednesday from 7 to 9 PM at Daniel R. Edder Funeral Home, 309 Main St. East, Girard. Services will be held there on Thursday at 10AM.
 Memorials may be made to the Fairview Fire Dept., PO Box 69, Fairview, Pa. 16415.
 Burial will be in Girard Cemetery.
