Arlene J. (Wilson) Beam

Arlene J. (Wilson) Beam, 88 of Girard, passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at her home, surrounded by her family.
 She was born January 4, 1930 in North Girard (now Lake City), a daughter of the late Emanuel and Thelma (Case) Wilson.
 Arlene attended the East and West Springfield Schools and later the Rice Avenue Union High School in Girard. She worked at the Girard Model Works (Marx Toys) and later Spectrum Control where she was an Assembler and Tester, retiring from there in 1991.
 She attended the Federated Church in East Springfield since the age of ten. At the age of 81 she and her son Tom recorded their own CD and she was very proud of that accomplishment. She had hoped to one day record in Nashville, as music had always been a love in her life.
 Her family had always been her priority, and she loved making baby quilts for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
 During her retirement years some of her fondest memories were of when she and her late husband, Russ, were able to travel throughout the United States.
 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Thomas "Russ" Beam and sisters, Evelyn Wilson in infancy; Dona Mitchell, Joyce Kuvik, Esther Jean Wilson and Helen Pacansky; brothers,  Arthur Wilson in infancy, Albert "Stub" Wilson, Harry Wilson and grandchildren, Shannon and Jamie Sanders and Amanda Beam.         
 Arlene is survived by her loving family, daughters, Linda A. Beam and Cheryl L. Sanders (Roger); sons, Thomas W. Beam (Linda); Michael R. Beam (Susan); Douglas R. Beam (Kathy); Scott W. Beam (Diane); 30 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; sister, Jeannette Mikovich and many nieces and nephews.   
 Friends may call on Tuesday  from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Edder Funeral Home, Inc., 309 Main St. East, Girard.  Services will be held there on Wednesday at 10 am.
