Carl A. Sabol, 66, of Lake City, passed away on August 5, 2018.
He was born on October 26, 1951 in Erie a son of the late Albert J. and Ednamae (Carlotti) Sabol.
Carl graduated from Rice Avenue Union High School in 1969. Following high school he worked at Finestra for 25 years until their closing and then worked at McGinness Rolled Rings as a saw operator in Erie until his retirement in 2015.
Carl was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Girard and the Girard and Fairview American Legion Posts and Sons of the American Legion. He loved deer hunting, was a avid Seattle Seahawks fan and enjoyed drag racing at Thompson Raceway Park. He also enjoyed motorcycle riding and was a NASCAR fan of Dale Earnhardt and recently of Kyle Busch.
He will be greatly missed by his family, which include his wife, Deborah M. (Dorich) Sabol, whom he married on March 4, 1978 in Girard; a daughter, Jennifer L. Sabol of Pittsburgh; two sisters, Cathy Emery and Chris Polka, both of Girard; a brother, Albert "Bert" Sabol of Girard; several cousins, aunts, uncles and in-laws.
Friends are invited to call on Wednesday at the Edder Funeral Home, Inc., 309 Main Street East, Girard from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to attend a Prayer Service there on Thursday, at 10 a.m. with Rev. William Miller officiating.
Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Girard.
