Carole A. (Koch) Keep, 75, of Lake City, passed away on Monday, July 30, 2018 following a lifelong battle with multiple sclerosis. She was born in Titusville, PA on May 14, 1943, a daughter to the late Joseph and Winifred (Smock) Koch.
She attended Rice Avenue Union High School. Carole was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at a young age. She was a stay at home mom and wife, whose priority was to take care of her family.
She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Girard and enjoyed bowling throughout her life.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sons, Daniel Keep in 1977 and James Keep in 2005, also a sister in infancy, Marybeth Koch.
Carole will be greatly missed by her family which include her husband, Larry C. Keep, whom she married October 31, 1959; two daughters, Julie M. Keep, Jennifer (Keep) Smith (Richard); a son, Michael A. Keep (Kelly); two sisters, Betty Angstadt (Tom), Barbara Pendrak (Joe); a brother, Jerry Koch (Beverly); her grandchildren, Jon Keep (Kayla), Nicole Clayton (Justin), Danae Johnson (Jeremiah); her great grandchildren, Miah Johnson, Hassan Johnson and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Edder Funeral Home Inc., 309 Main St. East, Girard. A Prayer Service will be held there on Friday at 10:30 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 101 Olin Ave., Girard with Rev. William Miller officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 2115 W. 8th St., Erie, PA 16505.
Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Girard.
