Arlene R. (Lewis) Komisarski

Arlene R. (Lewis) Komisarski, 94, of Fairview, died Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at Manchester Commons.
 She was born on July 7, 1927, in Fairview, a daughter of the late Clancy and Edna (Platz) Lewis.
 Arlene graduated from Fairview High School in 1946. A year later, she married George Komisarski on July 12, 1947, in Lake City. The couple were married for 62 years, until his death in 2009. She spent her life taking care of her husband and family. Her family describes her as a “jack of all trades,” for them, as seamstress, cook and mentor. She and George enjoyed many winters in Florida in their retirement years and traveled throughout the United States. She also enjoyed ceramics, knitting, crocheting and canning.
In addition to her parents and husband George, Arlene was preceded in death by three sisters, Margaret Geiger, Lucille Gurak and Dorothy Cassell; and two brothers, Elton and Victor Lewis.
She will be greatly missed by her family, which include her daughter, Peggy Ann Gilmore (Charles); her grandchildren, Dana Gilmore (Christina) and Shawn Gilmore; her great grandchildren, Maddie, Camille, Tyler and Dominic; also several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Friday from 12 noon to the time of the funeral service at 3 P.M. at the Edder Funeral Home Inc., 309 Main St. East, Girard.
Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery
