Carol (Shearer) Hyde Warhola

Carol Hyde, Warhola, (Shearer)  87, of Albion died on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at her home. 

She was born on June 22,1935, a daughter to the late Ross T and Francis I (Blair) Shearer. 

Carol graduated from Albion High School in 1953. She married William Hyde shortly after and together they worked their dairy farm. 
Carol continued working with her husband at Bill Hyde Trucking, where she was the co-owner of the business. Carol took care in looking after the business in any facet that she could, from scheduling to running parts.

She was a woman of teamwork and love. Carol enjoyed socializing at local coffee shops and found herself again as an owner of a business, the Platea Family Restaurant for a short time. After her retirement in 1996 she moved to Florida where she lived for a few years enjoying the sunshine. She then moved back to the Erie area to be with family. Carol often donated her time to the Platea community clean up. She taught Sunday school at the Albion Grace United Methodist Church, enjoyed attending a variety of local churches and accepted Christ at the Assembly of God of the Albion. 

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her first husband, William Hyde whom she married on June 6, 1953; her second husband, John Warhola whom she married in 1993; two sisters, Ellen Arlene and Elizabeth Ann in infancy; a brother, Eugene Shearer; and a grandchild, Jonathan Lane. 

She will be greatly missed by her family which include daughters, Terry White (David), Tammy Lane (George) and Tracy Drake; a son, Gary Hyde (Judy); Grandchildren, Miranda Bernhardt (Adam), Brad White (Kayla), Jathan Lane (Stephanie), Falicia Lane, Eric Drake, Merritt Engle, Chris Hyde, Tim Hyde (Elena), Kevin Hyde (Adrienne), Jeffrey Hyde and Matthew Hyde; and 17 great-grandchildren. 

Friends and family are invited to attend a graveside service on Friday, October 21, 2022 at 1:00pm at the Albion Cemetery, Route 18 Albion, PA 16401 and are also  invited to attend a Memorial Service on November 12, 2022 from 4 pm to 6 pm at the Albion Nazarene Church, 9578 Route 6N West, Albion, PA 16401.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Northwestern Senior Center, 9 Academy Street, Albion ,PA 16401.
