Christine Kalicky Obituary

Christine A. Kalicky, 67, died at home surrounded by those she loved on Thursday January 14, 2021. 

Christine was born February 10, 1953 a daughter to the late Stanley P. and Lucille I. (Gilbert) Kalicky. She graduated from Fairview High School. Following high school she worked with RPC Valve and later with General Electric as a production supervisor. Christine continued her schooling, graduating from Gannon University with a Bachelors degree in business administration. During her time in college she worked with Johnson Control who assisted in her collegiate career. Following her graduation Chris continued work with Johnson Control, later, Carlisle Companies as a production manager, retiring in 2003.

Chris had a knack for organization, she was the general contractor in the building of her home in Girard as well as an addition to her parents home in Fairview. She created long lasting landscaping projects around her home. Chris had a love of learning and was an avid reader. She enjoyed studying history, specifically Russian history and reading British mystery's. For many years in her life she was a drummer in a collection of bands playing a variety of music every weekend. Chris had a love of her pets and a generous heart. 

In addition to her parents Christine was preceded in death by a brother, Robert E. Kalicky; a nephew, Jeremy E. Wattle; and beloved pets.

She will be greatly missed by her family which includes a sister, Robin Kalicky Dunn (James); a brother, Victor Kalicky (Diane); life long companion, Sally Messenkopf (Mary); two nephews, Stanley "SK" and Kevin Kalicky (Heidi); niece, Kirsten Suscheck (Terry); great nephew, Mason Kalicky; great niece, Peyton Kalicky; dear friend, Ralston the entire Roney family; and a beloved pet cat GG.
