Gary Brown Obituary

Gary L. Brown died on Sunday June 20, 2021 at his home following a battle with cancer. 

Gary was born December 15, 1950 a son to the late Chester L and Betty B (Bennett) Brown . 
Gary traveled often as a young man attending many different schools throughout the United States and Germany until graduating from Strong Vincent High School. Following high school he furthered his schooling through Gannon University attaining a Masters in nursing. Gary then went on to residency in anesthesiologist training in Reno, Nevada. Gary then returned to the Erie area and began working for UPMC Hamot as a Certified Resident Nurse Anesthesiologist. He stayed there a short time before transferring to Veterans Affairs. Most recently he worked as a Locum Tenen Anesthesiologist traveling throughout the United States until his retirement in 2008. 

Gary was an avid water fowl hunter as well as fishing. He enjoyed being with his family in free time. 

In addition to his parents Gary was preceded in death by his wife Mary Jane (Macek) Brown; and two sisters; Patty Brown an Karen Dascomb. 

Gary will be greatly missed by his son Matthew C. Brown (Ashley) and their son Odin.
