Gary Sharman Obituary

  Gary L Sharman 73, of Girard died at home on October 8, 2021.

  Gary was born June 12, 1948 a son to Sam and Betty (Deshane) Sharman. Gary graduated from Perry High School in 1966. Following high school, he began working as a carpenter with a local construction company building homes. After a short time, he went out on his own continuing to build homes in Perry, NY. Moving to the Erie area he began working in tool and die at Modern Tool Company. Gary changed employment to Millcreek Metal Finishing where he eventually became the plant manager. He always had a knack for creating new ideas. In Gary’s later years he started his own company GLS Enterprise handling pickup and delivery of many products used in the tri-state area. Gary was more involved in expediting to different companies in recent years due to health complications.

  Gary was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Girard. He loved to bowl mainly at El Camp Lanes in Conneaut, he had multiple 300 pin games. He also enjoyed playing softball on multiple teams often coming home with the end of the year trophy. He enjoyed spending time walking with his wife and dogs as well as golfing with friends. Gary was a high-spirited joyful man always looking for the best in a situation.

  He was preceded in death by his father, Sam Sharman; and a daughter, at birth Lisa Marie.

  Gary will be greatly missed by his family which include his wife, Mari anne (Vandervort) Sharman whom he married April 7, 1995; his mother, Betty (Deshane) Sharman; son, Eric Sharman (Therse); step-son, Steven McAdoo (Tracey); brother, Wayne Sharman; grandchildren, Tyler, Troy, and Kayla Sharman, as well as Hailey, Ethan, Sophia, and Eli McAdoo.

  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Ashtabula County Animal Protective League 5970 Green Rd, Ashtabula, OH 44004

  Services will be held privately by the family and are under the direction of Edder Funeral Home Inc. Girard
