George R. Kalman, 84, died following an extended illness, at Pleasant Ridge Manor on Thursday January 14, 2021.
He was born March 31, 1936 a son to the late Gellert and Hazel Kalman (Heroon).
George graduated from high school in 1954. Following high school he began work in construction and later as a machinist in various manufacturing facilities. He then worked at the Millcreek American Legion post #773 as a manager for many years. Most recently he worked with Industrial Recision Services and lastly Industrial Sales and Manufacturing where he retired from.
George had a love for nature and enjoyed taking frequent walks around the Presque Isle Peninsula as well as camping in Pymatuning. He was a family man and loved his children throughout life. George was a member of the New Beginnings Church in Fairview. He was also a member of the Millcreek American Legion Post #773, after his time working there he often returned to visit with those people whom he had became friends with.
In addition to his parents George was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Kalman; and a son Glen Kalman.
He will be greatly missed by his family, his wife of many years Linda Kalman; two sons, David Kalman (Tina) and Justin Kalman; three daughters, Sheryl Venola (Bob Setty), Susan Leal, and Teresa Gerringer (Michael); and mother of his children, Edith "Louise" Robinson; Dorothy Benson and family; three brothers, Daniel Kalman, Robert Kalman (Dena), Gregory Kalman; three sisters, Genie Cleveland, Nancy Bell, Carol Wilbanks; six grandchildren, Kaitlyn Pickett (Brandon), Kristina Kalman, Tuli Venola, Kimberly Flacks (Ryan), Megan Voss (Will), Devin Pitt, Mackenzie Peoples (Logan) and Madison Gerringer.
