Ronald D. Greer, of Girard, passed away suddenly on Sunday, December 4, 2022, at UPMC Hamot following a brief illness.

He was born on September 22, 1941, in Titusville, son of the late Walter H. and Larie A. (Daniels) Traffis.

Ron graduated from Titusville High School in 1959. Following high school, he studied Electrical Engineering at Penn State Behrend and began his career in the engineering field with IBM in Endicott, NY.  He returned to Penn State Behrend to continue his studies. He later transferred to State College where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering. He continued work in the engineering field at White Sands Missile Range test site for Western Electric in Las Cruces, NM. He later worked for Eagle Picture in Socorro, NM specializing in military projects. Ron returned to the Girard area in 1972 and began work at Spectrum Control. In 1988, he and his wife Carol began their own company, “CARON Enterprises, Inc.” which was a manufacturer of electronic assemblies for the military and telecom industries.
