Rosemary Francis Maher

Rosemary Francis Maher was a caring mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She left this world and entered the gates of heaven on August 5, 2021 at the age of 66 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Rosemary worked as a Respiratory Therapist at Hamot Hospital for many years. She then went on to retire and spent her time traveling and visiting family. The simplest pleasures in life brought her great joy. She enjoyed volunteering with CASA foster children, quilting, gardening and making her family recipe for homemade perogies.

She was born to Philip and Elizabeth “Betty” Demenik on May 1, 1955 in East Springfield, Pennsylvania. Rosemary is survived by her two sons and their wives Joshua (Jessica) Maher, Justin (Abbey) Maher; grandchildren Jackson, Jordan, Austin and Benson. She is also survived by five of her siblings: Phyllis Bujnowski, James Demenik, Carolyn Atkinson, Anna Marie Fasso and John Demenik. She leaves behind 14 loving nieces and nephews. Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents and sister Susan Bleil.

A memorial mass will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church located at 7100 West Ridge Road Fairview, PA 16415 on August 28th 2021 at 10am. A celebration of life will follow in the social hall. Floral donations may be sent to the church referenced above or monetary donations made to the American Cancer Association via their website.
