Ruth Bailey Obituary

Ruth I. Bailey, 74 of Girard and formerly of Boyertown, died Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at Pleasant Ridge Manor.
 She was born in Chester, PA (Delaware County), a daughter of the late William E. and Mary (Fritz) Bailey.
 Ruth graduated from Norview High School in Norfolk, Va in 1964. She was employed by Bechtel Contracting, who were responsible for the construction of Limerick Nuclear Power Station in Limerick , PA, also Mrs.  Smith’s Pies in Pottstown, Boscov’s Department Store, and retired  from the Noland Co. (plumbing and heating sales) in data processing.
She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Fairview and St. John’s Lutheran Church in Boyertown. Ruth volunteered many hours at Erie' s Veterans Affairs Medical Center and was current President of the Fairview American Legion Auxiliary and Past President of the Boyertown American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed sewing and crafts as well as Karaoke.
She will be greatly missed by her family, which include her two sons, Ronald W. Nagle Jr. (Joanne) of Bechtelsville, PA, Michael E. Nagle (Pam) of Fairview; a brother, William Bailey; four grandchildren, Geoffrey E. Nagle, Mikaela E. Nagle, Conor W. Nagle, Benjamin E. Nagle and several nieces and nephews.
 A Celebration of Life will occur on a later date.
 In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Erie VAMC, 135 East 38th St., Erie, PA 16504
